Current initiatives

Volunteer Coordination - Opportunities exist for volunteers to support educational and recreational programs run through WorkSkills. Training is available.

English as an Additional Language (EAL) - Free 1:1 support to develop English language skills is available. Learners will be paired up with a volunteer. Contact WorkSkills on 5523 1645 for further information. Program is dependent on volunteer availability.

Literacy & Numeracy Support - Free! Volunteers will provide 1:1 support. Contact WorkSkills on 5523 1645 for further information. Program is dependent on volunteer availability.

Program

Activities are run from the Waratah Centre and Portland WorkSkills and include activities such as:

- Auslan courses for various levels

- Community Fresh Food Swap

- Cultural Community Morning Teas

- Creative Crafts

- Colour and Craft

- Friday Crafters

- Baby Rhythm and Music

- Play Laugh Grow

- Crochet Group

- Scrumble Crochet

- History talks, walks and workshops

- 1:1 English as and Additional Language
